The workshop was organized by the Joint Center for Innovative Membrane Protein Technologies (JCIMPT), operated at The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) and funded by the NIH Common Fund’s Structural Biology program, together with Formulatrix and held on August 2nd, 2012, at the MIT campus, Cambridge, MA. Vadim Cherezov (TSRI) was leading the workshop with assistance from Wei Liu, Aaron Thompson and Eugene Chun from TSRI, and Ellen Gualtieri, Eric Zhao, Daniel Kurnianto and Jon Washer from Formulatrix.
32 participants from 8 different countries attended the workshop. 8 participants brought their own membrane protein samples and used them to setup crystallization trials during the workshop.
